The assignment

JV Driver was the general contractor for the extraction and tailings portion of the Shell Albian expansion. The scope covered civil, mechanical, structural, tankage, electrical and instrumentation work, with involvement in constructability and labour strategies. Approximately eight million work hours supported this major industrial assignment.

Delivery experience

In-house fabrication supported the field program with 22 extraction modules, nine tailings pump houses and 49 froth modules. Workface planning, constructability input and labour strategies connected those fabrication packages with a large, multi-shift construction operation.
