The assignment
The Lehigh grinding-capacity addition introduced a new vertical roller mill system within an operating cement plant. JV Driver executed most of the civil, structural and mechanical work, including foundations and pads, building and conveyor erection, equipment setting and millwright services. The assignment also included commissioning and startup work while coordinating with other contractors in the plant.
Scope of work
- Mill feed, grinding and recirculation systems
- Dust collection, fans, ductwork and stack
- Air slides, cement coolers and pneumatic pumps
- Hydraulics, water, grinding aid and hot-gas systems
Delivery experience
JV Driver managed cladding and insulation subcontractors; electrical and instrumentation contractors were engaged separately by the owner. The project profile records completion on time and on budget, with clear coordination required across those scope boundaries.
