Chairman - Bill Elkington
As co-founder, Bill has grown the Company from a small contractor on Vancouver Island in 1989, to the large diverse group of companies it is today. With offices across Canada, the USA, and internationally, Bill demonstrates a unique ability to discover new opportunities, to deliver products and services in effective ways and to develop winning teams that excel in the business.
Bill is a civil engineer who holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of British Columbia. Bill is also a graduate of the Independent Corporate Directors program and sits on multiple boards of private companies.
An innovative thinker and market disrupter, Bill won the Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Prairie Region in 2010.
Bill is also the Chairperson for The Erika Legacy Foundation, and spends a fair amount of time working with the charity on programs and technology focused on Suicide Prevention.
President & CEO - Chuck Sanders
Chuck is responsible for the Company’s worldwide operations, including opportunity acquisition and project execution for all enterprises. He also leads corporate planning and is responsible for the implementation of the group’s strategic plan and corporate finance activity.
Prior to his role as President & CEO, Chuck was the Company’s CFO. Chuck is an experienced senior executive in the construction industry and has extensive financial and industry experience. Chuck is a Certified Corporate Director, Certified General Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Chuck has also completed extensive corporate finance training from Wharton Business School.
CFO - Rachel Sanders
Rachel is part of the executive team and is responsible for the overall financial management and risk oversight of all divisions, including direct supervision of the finance, IT and legal teams.
Rachel joined the JV Driver Group in October 2016 and was previously a partner at Deloitte LLP, with 18 years of experience servicing clients in the construction and energy services industries. Rachel has a proven track record of identifying and resolving complex issues and bringing forward business insights and recommendations. Rachel is a Chartered Accountant, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta.
VP People & Culture - David Whyte
David is responsible for leading the Company’s People & Culture strategy, focusing on leadership development, health, safety and environment, human resources, communications and innovation. David is an experienced executive in the construction, energy and retail industries.
David is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and holds an MBA from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan. David has also completed executive leadership training at the University of Texas at Austin.
David is very involved in the Edmonton community acting as Chair of the Board of Directors of KidSport Edmonton, a member of the Norquest College Workforce Advisory Council and coaches minor hockey.
Managing Director - Doug Goubault
Douglas is responsible for JV Driver Investments, including portfolio management, acquisitions and governance for all entities and investments. Douglas manages day to day activities as well as strategic planning and communication.
Prior to his role at JV Driver Investments, Douglas worked in the Golf, Resort and Hospitality industries including 10 years with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. He has extensive experience in hospitality development at locations in Canada and Mexico as well as projects in the US, South Africa and Oman, UAE. Douglas holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Douglas is also a Lieutenant with Leduc County Fire Service and is an Internationally Certified Firefighter and Instructor in the Fire Services.
General Counsel - Michael Weber
As the JV Driver Group’s chief legal executive, Michael leads the Group’s global legal function, which includes being responsible for all corporate governance, M&A activity, corporate finance, investment, material contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
Michael is a member of the JV Driver Group’s senior executive team and acts as both legal and business advisor to the CEO and executive.
Prior to joining the JV Driver Group’s in-house legal team, Michael represented the JV Driver Group as its external corporate counsel. Earlier in his career, he practiced in the M&A, corporate finance and clean energy groups of the Vancouver office of McCarthy Tetrault LLP.
Michael has been recognized as a Western Canadian General Counsel Awards Finalist.
